Psalm 9:10

“And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”

It is when you come to know God personally that you begin to trust Him.  To know God’s name is to believe in Him.  In John 2:23, many people believed in Jesus’ name after seeing “the signs He that He was doing”.    They witnessed His work, and they believed.  When you received Him, you believed in His work in your heart and life.  But this is just the beginning!  His work goes beyond redemption and salvation and into the process of sanctifying you, making you holy.

There is a big difference between knowing facts about God and knowing God.  You begin trusting God when you get to know Him.

The foundation of trusting God is knowing Him.
